Guangtou Yinhai Aluminum restarts electrolytic cells after energy upgrade

On August 6, Guangxi Laibin Guangtou Yinhai Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. completed energy-saving upgrades on 60 units of 420kA electrolytic cells and fully resumed production. The upgrade cuts electricity use by about 450kWh per tonne of aluminum, reaching top industry standards. It is expected to save over 30 million kWh of power annually, lowering electricity costs by around RMB17 million (USD2.36 million) on average each year.
