Laiweimeite inks deals for magnesium alloy projects in Linchuan

On July 5, Sichuan Laiweimeite Metal Materials Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the government of Linchuan District to build a high-strength magnesium alloy project with a production capacity of 100,000 tonnes per annum (tpa). On the same day, Laiweimeite also signed an agreement on a separate 5,000tpa high-strength magnesium alloy project with Jiangxi Magnesium-Based New Materials Industrialization Research Co., Ltd.

Magnesium alloy, as a strategic emerging industry, will bring new growth opportunities to Linchuan's industrial economy. The partners aim to accelerate project development, improve industrial planning and policy support, and strengthen the supply chain, working together to establish a competitive magnesium alloy industry cluster worth over 10 billion yuan (140 million US dollars).
