Hainan Mining secures spodumene supply from Bougouni lithium project
Hainan Mining Co., Ltd. has signed an offtake agreement with its subsidiary, Le Mines de Lithium de Bougouni (LMLB), to purchase all spodumene produced from the Phase I of Bougouni lithium project for a period of four years, starting from the date LMLB obtains its export permit.
LMLB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kodal Mining UK, which is majority-owned by Hainan Mining. The company holds the mining license for the Bougouni project in Mali. Phase I includes a 1.4 million-tonne-per-annum processing plant, which is expected to produce 100,000 to 120,000 tonnes of spodumene concentrate annually, with Li2O grades above 5.5%.
