Ganfeng ships first batch of lithium concentrate from Mali
On June 24, Ganfeng Lithium shipped the first batch of lithium concentrate from its Goulamina project in Mali to China, with the cargo expected to arrive at a domestic port in early August.
Located in Mali, West Africa, the project holds an estimated 211 million tonnes of ore resources. It began production in 2024, with Phase I designed to produce 506,000 tonnes of lithium concentrate annually. This marks Ganfeng's first fully self-developed and operated lithium project in Africa.
This shipment also represents the first-ever export of lithium concentrate from West Africa, signaling the start of commercial output from Ganfeng's African operations and reinforcing its commitment to providing high-quality, stable lithium supply to global customers.
