Tsingtuo stainless steel plate project begins production

On June 22, Fujian Tsingtuo Special Steel Co., Ltd. commenced production at its 3,500 mm stainless steel plate project. The 2-billion-yuan (278 million dollars) project, which started construction in February 2024, adopts a world-first integrated production process. With a designed annual capacity of 1 million tonnes, it is expected to generate over RMB15 billion (USD2.09 billion) in output value once fully operational in 2025. The project can produce plates ranging from 1.3 to 80 mm in thickness and up to 3,000 mm in width, filling a domestic technology gap.
