Damei New Materials fires up high-alumina clinker project

On June 16, Chongqing Damei New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Bosai Group, launched kiln operations for the first 200,000tpa phase of its 400,000tpa high-alumina clinker project, marking a key step forward. Located in Nanchuan, this is the first project in China to use imported bauxite, sourced from Bosai's own mine in Guyana, for the production of high-grade clinker.

The clinker is produced through high-temperature rotary kiln calcination, with alumina content exceeding 90%. The first phase is expected to reach full production by October.
