China's production of ten nonferrous metals up 2.8% in Jan-May

China's production of ten nonferrous metals reached 6.83 million tonnes in May 2025, up by 2.9% year on year, and the production from January to May totaled 33.4 million tonnes, an increase of 2.8% from the prior year period, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

In the first five months, China produced 18.59 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 4.0% compared to the same period last year, including 3.83 million tonnes in May, up by 5.0% YoY.
