Recently, Hubei Wanrun New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) have reached a cooperation agreement, pursuant to which, Wanrun New Energy will begin supplying qualified lithium iron phosphate (LFP) products to CATL starting in May 2025, with a total estimated supply volume of approximately 1,323,100 tonnes from May 2025 to 2030.
Provided that Wanrun New Energy's products maintain a comprehensive competitive advantage, CATL has committed to purchasing no less than 80% of the monthly supply volume committed by Wanrun for each month during the 2025-2030 period. Both parties will sign a supplementary agreement each year by October 1 to determine the monthly delivery schedule for the following year.
The agreement also establishes a long-term cooperation mechanism between the two companies, aiming to jointly promote the iteration and mass production of high compaction-density LFP products and explore new energy markets together. The agreement is valid for five years, until May 1, 2030.
