Major Chinese steel mills' daily pig iron output rises in early May

Major Chinese steel mills produced about 19.9 million tonnes of pig iron during the first ten-day period of May, with an average daily output of 1,990,000 tonnes, up by 1.6% from late April, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
