JCHX Mining to invest in copper-gold-silver mine project in Colombia

JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. plans to invest approximately USD231 million, proportional to its shareholding, to advance the development of Alacran copper-gold-silver project in Colombia.

According to a completed feasibility study, the Alacran project is a mining and processing operation that will adopt open-pit mining. Within the designed boundaries, the total ore reserves are estimated at 97.9 million tonnes. The project's flotation plant is designed with a processing capacity of 17,600 tonnes per day, producing copper concentrate and gold-silver concentrate as final products. Additionally, the gravity separation plant has a processing capacity of 2,400 tonnes per day, with gold-silver concentrate as the final product.

Over the project's lifespan, it is expected to produce a total of 797 million pounds of copper, 0.55 million ounces of gold, and 5.35 million ounces of silver. The estimated total investment for the project is USD420.4 million, with a construction period of two years. Once completed, the mine is expected to have a life of mine (LOM) of 14.2 years.
