Yitou (Hunchun) kicks off recycled aluminum round ingot project

On March 30, Yitou (Hunchun) New Materials Manufacturing Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony for its 500,000tpa recycled aluminum round ingot project.

Located in Ying'an Town, Hunchun City, the project involves a total investment of nearly 1.4 billion yuan (192 million US dollars) and covers an area of 131,000 square meters, with a total floor area of 68,000 square meters. The project mainly consists of six smelting and casting production lines, including one aluminum alloy ingot line and five aluminum alloy round bar lines, with a designed production capacity of 500,000 tonnes per annum. The aluminum products will serve industries such as aerospace, automotive manufacturing, construction, food packaging, and new energy.

The first phase, which includes a 200,000tpa aluminum processing production line, is expected to be completed and begin trial production by November this year. Once fully operational, the project is projected to generate an annual output value of 14.7 billion yuan (2.02 million US dollars) and contribute over 1 billion yuan (137 million US dollars) in taxes.
