Haichuang Shangwei begins production at 100ktpa anode project

On December 18, Sichuan Haichuang Shangwei New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. started the first phase of production at its 100,000tpa power battery anode material project in Leshan High-tech Zone.

The project has a total investment of RMB4 billion (USD548 million), including about RMB2 billion (USD274 million) for the first phase, which is expected to produce 55,000tpa of anode material used for power and storage batteries. When fully operational, the phase one of the project would achieve an annual production value of RMB2.5 billion (USD343 million) and sales profit of RMB200 million (USD27.41 million), along with tax contribution of RMB100 million (USD13.7 million), and it is expected to create around 500 jobs.
