China's copper cathode production up 4.5% in Jan-Oct

China's refined copper (copper cathode) production was around 1.12 million tonnes in October 2024, down by 1.3% YoY, and that of copper products declined by 0.3% YoY to 1.97 million tonnes, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

From January to October, China produced about 11.17 million tonnes of copper cathode, up by 4.5% over the prior year period, and 18.27 million tonnes of copper products, down by 1.1% versus a year ago.
