In October 2024, China produced 70.26 million tonnes of pig iron, up by 1.4% YoY, 81.88 million tonnes of crude steel, up by 2.9% YoY, and 119.41 million tonnes of finished steel products, up by 3.5% YoY, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to October, the country's production of pig iron declined by 4.0% YoY to 715.11 million tonnes, crude steel production decreased by 3.0% YoY to 850.73 million tonnes, and finished steel products production edged up by 0.5% YoY to 1,164.84 million tonnes.
