Rongtai Metal begins construction of 1.5Mtpa CR steel sheet project

On October 31, Fangchenggang Rongtai Metal Products Co., Ltd. kicked off construction of a cold-rolled steel sheet project with a production capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per annum, including 550,000tpa of galvanized coils, 550,000tpa of plain sheet for home appliance, 300,000tpa of CR sheet produced by bell-type annealing furnace, 100,000tpa of chill plate.

With a total investment of over RMB1 billion (USD141 million), the project is expected to achieve annual production value of RMB6.5 billion (USD915 million) and help create more than 800 jobs.
