China's foreign trade up 5.3% YoY in Q1-Q3

In the first three quarters of 2024, China's total imports and exports of goods reached 32.33 trillion yuan (4.55 trillion U.S. dollars), up by 5.3% from the prior year period, including exports of 18.62 trillion yuan (2.62 trillion U.S. dollars), up by 6.2% YoY, and imports of 13.71 trillion yuan (1.93 trillion U.S. dollars), up by 4.1% YoY, according to China Customs.

It is the first time that China's foreign trade has exceeded the 32-trillion-yuan mark in Q1-Q3, and the total imports and exports in each quarter all exceeded 10 trillion yuan (1.41 trillion US dollars) for the first time ever.
