Zhongxi Jinlong to build 10ktpa rare earth production line in Changting

Zhongxi Jinlong (Changting) Rare Earth Co., Ltd. has reached an agreement with the government of Changting County to invest RMB1.25 billion (USD176 million) to build a rare earth production line with annual smelting and separation capacity of 10,000 tonnes, which is expected to commence production in late 2025.

Zhongxi Jinlong is a joint venture between China Rare Earth Group and Golden Dragon Rare Earth. It started to operate independently in Changting from January 2024, focusing on the smelting and separation of rare earth ores.
