In June 2024, China produced 74.49 million tonnes of pig iron, down by 3.3% YoY, 91.61 million tonnes of crude steel, up by 0.2% YoY, and 125.55 million tonnes of steel products, up by 3.2% YoY, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to June, the country's production of pig iron declined by 3.6% YoY to 435.62 million tonnes, crude steel production shrank by 1.1% YoY to 530.57 million tonnes, and steel products production increased by 2.8% YoY to 701.02 million tonnes.
