CISA: Major steel mills' daily steel product output rises to 2.24 Mt in late May

Major Chinese steel mills produced about 24.61 million tonnes of steel products during the last eleven-day period of May, when the daily output reached 2,237,400 tonnes, up by 5.54% from mid-May, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held steel products inventory of around 14.57 million tonnes, a decrease of 2.26 million tonnes or 13.43% from mid-May.
