Major Chinese steel mills produced about 20.49 million tonnes of steel products during the second ten-day period of April, during which the daily output was 2,048,900 tonnes, up by 3.72% from early April, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held steel products inventory of around 18.12 million tonnes, a decrease of 137,700 tonnes or 0.75% from ten days ago.
