Major Chinese steel mills produced about 19.75 million tonnes of steel products during the first ten-day period of April, during which the daily output was 1,975,300 tonnes, down by 6.72% from late March, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

By the end of April, major Chinese steel mills held steel products inventory of around 18.25 million tonnes, a decrease of 173,600 tonnes or 0.94% from late March.
