Chongqing Iron & Steel Company Limited reported annual production of 6.52 million tonnes of iron, 7.12 million tonnes of steel, and 10.22 million tonnes of commercial steel products (including billets, sheets, coils, bars, wires and rods) in 2023. The annual production of iron and steel declined by 9.88% and 9.63% respectively versus the prior year, while production of commercial steel products increased by 22.53% year on year. The annual sales of commercial steel products increased by 22.74% from 2022 to about 10.29 million tonnes.

The company also announced its annual production guidance for 2024, including 8.49 million tonnes of pig iron, 9.9 million tonnes of steel and 9.32 million tonnes of steel products.
