Major Chinese steel mills produced about 21.64 million tonnes of steel products during the final eleven-day period of January when the daily output was 1,967,600 tonnes, down by 2.90% from mid-January, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).

In late January, major Chinese steel mills held steel products inventory of around 12.20 million tonnes, a decrease of 3.16 million tonnes or 20.55% from mid-January.
