China's Fugu reports decrease in Q1-Q3 magnesium production
China's Fugu county achieved a total production value from industrial enterprises above designated size of RMB90.44 billion (USD12.46 billion) in the first nine months of 2023, down by 15.2% from the year-ago period, with the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size up by 6%, according to the local statistics bureau.
In the first three quarters, Fugu produced 70.29 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 2.5% YoY, 6.73 million tonnes of semi-coke, down by 24.1% YoY, 286,300 tonnes of calcium carbide, down by 58% YoY, 506,700 tonnes of ferroalloy, down by 25% YoY, 283,000 tonnes of magnesium metal, down by 19.5% YoY, and 291,800 tonnes of light coal tar, down by 32.5% YoY.
