XTC New Energy to develop 40ktpa ternary materials project in France

XTC New Energy Materials (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. plans to set up a joint venture through its subsidiary XTC New Energy Materials Europe GmbH with Orano CAM to develop a ternary materials project in France. The proposed joint venture, XTC France New Energy Materials, is 51% owned by XTC New Energy Materials Europe and 49% owned by Orano CAM, with investment of EUR10.20 million and EUR9.80 million respectively from the two companies.

XTC France New Energy will invest RMB3.96 billion (USD542 million) to build a production line with capacity of 40,000tpa of ternary materials. The project consists of two phases and construction is expected to take about 44 months. Phase one of the project, with capacity of 20,000tpa, would finish construction and begin trial operation in Q4 2025, and the phase two is expected to complete construction in Q3 2027.
