China issues work plan to stabilize growth for iron and steel industry

Seven Chinese government departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) jointly issued a work plan targeting the steady growth of the iron and steel industry, aiming to achieve a supply and demand balance with a year-on-year industrial increase of 3.5% in 2023 and a further rise of over 4% in 2024.
