Inner Mongolia's new installed new energy grid-connected capacity reaches 5.3GW in Jan-Apr

According to the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia, in the first four months of 2023, Inner Mongolia newly installed 5.3 gigawatts of new energy grid-connected capacity, five times that of the same period last year.

In the January-April period, the region's cumulative power generation increased by 13.8% year on year to 231,100GWh, which is the first double-digit increase in the recent three years. In detail, its new energy generation increased by 2.8 percentage points year on year to 56,700GWh, accounting for 24.4%. By the end of April, the region's total installed new energy grid-connected capacity reached 671,200GWh, accounting for 37.5%, 2.4 percentage points higher than a year earlier.
