CISA: Major steel mills' average daily steel product output records 2.14Mt in mid-May

According to the data released by China Iron & Steel Association (CISA), major Chinese steel mills produced about 21.4 million tons of steel products in the second third of May, and the average daily output was about 2.14 million tons, up by 2.53% from the first third of May.

In the second third of May, the steel product inventory held by major steel mills totaled about 16.26 million tons, down by about 1.35 million tons or 7.65% from the first third of May.
