According to data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), China's output for rebar, medium-thick and wide steel strip, iron ore (raw ore) stood at about 21.10 million tons, 18.25 million tons and 75.10 million tons in April 2023 respectively, up by 2.1%, 11.0% and 0.7% YOY; meanwhile, the output for steel wire rod declined by 0.4% YOY to about 12.48 million tons.

In the first four months of 2023, China's output for rebar, medium-thick and wide steel strip, steel wire rod and iron ore (raw ore) rose by 1.2%, 9.3%, 5.8% and 8.0% to about 77.34 million tons, 66.86 million tons, 47.79 million tons and 314.38 million tons respectively.
