China Kings Resources: Downstream hydrofluoric acid plants nearly run at full capacity

Listed companies are confident about the recovery of the traditional demand for fluorspar in the medium and long term as downstream hydrofluoric acid plants now nearly operate at full capacity, which is expected to significantly prop up fluorspar price, and the demand from new energy sector is also increasing, China Kings Resources Group said on November 30 at its Q3 performance presentation meeting, adding that there remains uncertainty about short-term demand.

China Kings Resources Group also noted that construction of its 1Mtpy tailing beneficiation plant, jointly invested by Jiuling Lithium, is currently underway and the project is expected to commence production in Q1 2023 with estimated annual output of about 108,000t of lepidolite concentrate grading 2.0%-2.5% Li2O and 892,000t of high-quality ceramics fine clay.

According to industry statistics, China Kings Resources Group is currently the largest Chinese fluorspar company with reserves estimated at 27 million tonnes, equivalent to nearly 13 million of mineral ores, and mining permit of 1.17Mtpy.
