South Korea's monthly new energy vehicle exports exceed 50,000 units for the first time

Data released by KAMA on August 29th indicated that new energy vehicle exports of South Korean CBU (Complete Built Unit) vehicle producers went up substantially in the first seven months of 2022. Boosted by increased exports, their export amount in the first seven months of 2022 created a new high in the same period of the history, reaching USD8.76 billion. The export amount in July was USD1.48 billion, accounting for 28.6% of the total export amount for vehicles during the month.

According to relative data, South Korean CBU vehicle producers exported 305,909 new energy vehicles in the first seven months of 2022, rising by 41.1% YOY. The exports in July reached 54,164 units, representing an increase of 59.9% YOY and marking the first time for the country's monthly exports of new energy vehicles exceeded 50,000 units.
