- On the morning of 18th July, Mr. Akio Yamashita, the president of U.I Industry in Japan visited Asian Metal and communicated with Mr. Jerry Huang, the Ferrosilicon Market Analyst, and Ms. Caroline Li, the Manganese Market Analyst, regarding ferrosilicon and manganese flake markets respectively.
- Mr. Akio Yamashita introduced that U.I Industry quarterly purchases 500-600t of ferrosilicon 75%min from China to supply to foundry and steel mill clients in Japan, while the current demand in Japan remained dim due to low operation rates in summer. Then both parties exchanged views on the current operation rates and production costs about Chinese ferrosilicon plants, as well as the demand in Japan. Later, Ms. Caroline Li introduced the manganese flake market in Q2 2023 in China and shared with Mr. Yamashita about her forecast of market outlook in Q3. Mr. Akio Yamashita stated that U.I Industry regularly purchases manganese flake from China, and he pays attention to the operation rate, supply, and demand in Chinese manganese flake market.
