- On 5 December of 2019, Consultant & Senior Product Manager of Asian Metal, Ms. Daphne Zhang visited Shanxi Bada Magnesium Co., Ltd., Shanxi Wulong Investment Group and Shanxi Kaixiangwei Metal Material Co., Ltd., and was warmly greeted by above companies.
- On the morning of 5 December, Ms. Daphne visited Shanxi Bada Magnesium Co., Ltd., and discussed about the market supply and demand status for magnesium ingot and magnesium alloy, environmental requirements and equipment upgrading and also about the market outlook for magnesium industry in 2020. Commenting on the usage of reduction retorts, the outstanding advantage is that it solves the bottleneck of human resources. In addition, it also has some new problems, such as usage of center tank, the strength of the ball's gravity. Therefore, we also confront some issue in using the vertical retort. Actually, investment is the easiest problem, management team and defect problem solving are the challenges to meet. Anyway, the popularity of vertical retort is still an irreversible trend to produce magnesium ingot in the future time. With an annual production capacity of 60,000t, Wulong uses vertical kiln to produce calcined dolomite and their monthly output for magnesium ingot is 1,800t now. They plan to increase the volume to 2,700t from next March and they have no pressure on selling. In addition, Ms. Daphne visited their vertical kiln, reduction workshop and refining workshop.
