Asian Metal invited to attend VDA internal meeting in Germany
- On April 11, 2018, Vivian Pang, Asian Metal's consultant on rare earth market was invited to attend the 2nd leadership's internal meeting of VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry) in 2018, and expressed her opinions on status quo of rare earth and NdFeB magnet markets. Attendees warmly discussed the supply and demand situation of NdFeB magnet and the outlook of application industry of the material.
- This meeting was held in Aurubis AG in Hamburg, Germany. Participants are as follows: Vereh Hu, the purchasing director, Ralf Rautmann, the senior vice president of Purchasing and Logistics Department, Sandrine Baudry-Wintrich of R&D Department from Robert Bosch GmbH; Simon Jager and Thomas Schmid of Nonferrous Raw Material Purchasing Department from BMW Group; Dr. Markus Robert Vogt from BASF's Battery Material Business Management Department; Dr. Annette Buttner, the project director from Thyssenkrupp Raw Materials Gmbh; Dr. Karina Bobkin, the development engineer from Continental's Hybrid-power Auto Department; Lars Radowitz, the vice president of Aurubis AG's Precious Metal and Minor Metal Department; Michael Puschner from VDA's Auto Component Supply Depaerment and Dr Thomas Gackle, the deputy director general of Raw Material Policy Department of Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
- Attendees thought highly of Asian Metal's objective and timely information and noted that they sign contracts with suppliers on the basis of Asian Metal's prices all the time, hoping to keep in touch in the future. Vivian Pang invited the above enterprises to take part in the 10th International Rare Earth Summit to be held by Asian Metal in Sanya of Hainan on May 10-11 in 2018. Thyssenkrupp Raw Materials Gmbh and Bosch China will attend the Summit; BMW Group and other companies were extremely interested.
