Vital Materials visits Asian Metal
- On the afternoon of January 7, 2016, Herong, sales manager of Vital Materials Co., Ltd. visted Asian Metal. Mr. He talked about the status quo of indium market and the market outlook with Asian Metal, and also expressed their support for the 9th World Indium & Germanium & Gallium Forum held on May 5-6, 2015.
- Mr. He firstly praised Asian Metal for its metal information and then expressed his opinion on the status quo of the indium market. He indicated that the indium price kept declining in 2015 and with raw material supply being tight at the end of the year, suppliers became reluctant to sell the material to support the price. As a result, the transaction price stopped falling and rose slightly. However, as downstream demand was sluggish at the end of the year, and there was a stalemate between buyers who wanted to make purchases at a lower price and sellers who were not prepared to lower the asking price, spot transactions were relatively sporadic. Mr. He is negative on the market outlook as he thinks the indium price lacks the momentum to go up with weak downstream demand.
