On November 24, Hubei Benxing New Materials Co., Ltd. conducted cooperation on the porous silicon (silicon/carbon anode materials) project with the Material and Metallurgy Academy of Wuhan University of Science and Technology. The two parties signed a technology transfer agreement of RMB150 million (USD21.24 million).

At present, the silicon/carbon anode materials developed by the university's research group of new energy materials and energy storage technology are applied in a new energy lithium-ion battery project, which will soon settle in the Qingchun Chemical Industry Park of the Hi-Tech District in Suizhou with an annual production capacity of 30,000t. After completion, the project will bring an annual output value of more than RMB20 billion (USD2.83 billion), as well as taxes of more than RMB3 billion (USD425 million).
