Latest data released by General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), the value of China's foreign trade in goods totaled RMB27.3 trillion (USD3.92 trillion) in the first eight months of 2022, rising by 10.1% YOY. In particular, the export value was RMB15.48 trillion (USD2.22 trillion), an increase of 14.2%; the import value was RMB11.82 trillion (USD1.70 trillion), up by 5.2% YOY; the trade surplus expanded by 58.2% to RMB3.66 trillion (USD525.93 billion).

In August 2022, China's foreign trade value was RMB3.71 trillion (USD533.08 billion), up by 8.6% YOY. The export value and the import value went up by 11.8% and 4.6% to RMB2.12 trillion (USD304.61 billion) and RMB1.59 trillion (USD228.40 billion) during the month respectively with the trade surplus expanding by 40.2% to RMB 535.91 billion (USD76.98 billion).
