US makes final determination in countervailing duty investigations of steel nails

On August 16, 2022, the Department of Commerce announced its affirmative final determinations in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of steel nails from India, Oman, Sri Lanka, and Turkey; and announced its negative final determination in the CVD investigation of steel nails from Thailand. It decided that the subsidy rate for Indian producers/exporters is 2.73%~2.93%, that for Oman producers/exporters is 2.49%, that for Sri Lankan producers/exporters is 4.12%, that for Thai producers/exporters is 0.05%~0.10% (de minimis) and that for Turkish producers/exporters is 1.52%~3.88%. The International Trade Commission will make an affirmative final determination on countervailing industrial damage in this case on September 29, 2022.
