On August 7, the signing ceremony of Canadian Solar's Haidong new energy full industry chain project was held in Ledu, Haidong, Qinghai. Canadian Solar's Haidong new energy full industry chain project signed this time involves eight sub-projects such as photovoltaic module, photovoltaic cell, monocrystalline silicon pull rod and crucible. It is the project introduced by Haidong in recent years with highest investment amount and largest scale, the first full industry chain project in Haidong, and also the largest single investment project by Canadian Solar.

Canadian Solar said that it plans to invest RMB60 billion (USD8.88 billion) in Haidong Zero-Carbon Industrial Park by the end of 2027 to build an integrated photovoltaic manufacturing industrial base with an annual output of 200,000 tons of high-purity polysilicon and an annual output of 10GW of module, including related manufacturing of raw materials and auxiliary materials.
