Statistics from SEAJ showed that the sales volume of Japan-made chip equipment in May 2022 increased by 0.8% from the same period last year to about 308 billion Yen (about 15.23 billion yuan). This is the 17th consecutive month of growth, with monthly sales volume hitting the second highest record in history. From January to May 2022, the sales volume of Japan-made chip equipment totaled about 1,529 billion Yen (about 75.69 billion yuan), soaring by 28% from the same period last year and reaching a record high over the same period of previous years.
