CTM sees increased annual production of copper, cobalt and zinc

In 2023, Chengtun Mining Group Co., Ltd. (CTM) achieved annual copper production of 102,200t, up by 76.98% YoY, and sales of 102,700t, up by 83.42% YoY, with copper products sales revenue reaching RMB5.61 billion (USD775 million), up by 81.06% from the previous year, according to the company's annual report.

CTM reported annual cobalt production of 12,400t, up by 13.47% YoY, and sales of 10,900t, up by 17.2% YoY, with sales revenue down by 58.62% YoY to RMB1.19 billion (USD164 million).

The company's annual nickel production was 41,600t and sales reached 40,000t, down by 2.94% and 7.07% respectively from the prior year, and the sales revenue declined by 18% YoY to RMB4.21 billion (USD581 million).

The company also reported annual production of 332,200t of zinc, up by 25.44% YoY, and sales of 341,900t, up by 33.38% YoY.

CTM's wholly-owned subsidiary Kelixin achieved annual sales of around 3,650 metal tons of cobaltosic oxide, with a year-on-year increase of more than 80%.

By the end of 2023, CTM has a total copper-cobalt production capacity of 160,000 metal tons per annum in DRC.
