Yunnan Tin sees record high nonferrous metal production in 2023

Yunnan Tin Company Limited achieved an all-time high production of 347,100 tonnes of nonferrous metals in 2023, including about 80,000 tonnes of tin, 129,300 tonnes of copper, 134,700 tonnes of zinc, 102 tonnes of indium ingot and 3,158 tonnes of lead, and it also reported an increase of 41,000 tonnes in nonferrous metal resources, including 14,000 tonnes of tin and 27,000 tonnes of copper, according to the company's annual report.

In 2023, Yunnan Tin held a tin market share of 47.92% domestically in China and 22.92% globally. Its annual production of tin ingot increased by 42.61% YoY to 65,696 tonnes, while that of tin profiles and tin chemicals declined by 57.84% and 69.67% YoY respectively to 11,223 tonnes and 6,593 tonnes.

The company also announced its production guidance of 348,600 tonnes of nonferrous metals for 2024, including 85,000 tonnes of tin, 130,000 tonnes of copper, 131,600 tonnes of zinc, and 77.81 tonnes of indium ingot.
