The latest data from the General Administration of Customs of China showed that from January to September 2021, China imported 840 million tons of iron ore (and concentrate), down by 3.0% YoY. The import value during the period was USD150.83 billion, a YoY rise of 76.0%.

In September, China's iron ore import volume was 95.61 million tons, down by 11.9% from a year earlier and 1.9% from last month; the import value recorded USD16.96 billion, up by 41.1% YoY and down by 16.2% MoM.
