Australian-based Syrah Resources has announced Q2 2021 graphite production of 29kt for its first full quarter since the restart of the Balama mine. The mine was reopened ahead of its initial restart schedule in March and ramped up to 5kt of production in Q1.

Q2 graphite production is slightly below the post-restart target of 15kt per month; however, Syrah Resources has said it is taking a more flexible approach to production depending on market conditions.
