According to the latest data released by Pilbara Port Authority of Australia, in August 2021, the total iron ore exports through Port Hedland, the largest iron ore export Port in Western Australia, were 43,924.7kt, down by 2,147.8kt or 4.66% YoY and down by 373.7kt or 0.84% MoM.

In January-August, Port Hedland's iron ore exports totaled 358 million tons, down by 0.68% year on year.

In August, the port exported 35,912.29kt of iron ore to China, down by 10.58% year on year and 6.99% month on month, accounting for 81.76% of its total exports with growth shrinking 5.4 percentage points.

From January to August, the port exported 297 million tons of iron ore to China, a year-on-year decrease of 5.29%.
