On September 10, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) released the economic operation data of automobile industry in Beijing. In August, the auto production and sales in China were about 1.73 million units and 1.80 million units respectively, down by 7.4% and 3.5% MOM and 18.7% and 17.8% YOY. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicle (NEV) kept increasing rapidly and reached 309,000 units and 321,000 units respectively, both up by 1.8 times YOY.

From January to August, China's auto production and sales totaled about 16.17 million units and about 16.56 million units respectively, up by 11.9% and 13.7% YOY. Among them, the production and sales of NEV totaled about 1.81 million units and about 1.80 million units respectively, both up by 1.9 times YOY.
