First international high-temperature crashing strength standard for refractory materials approved

The first international high-temperature crashing strength standard for testing refractory materials was recently approved and will take effect on September 15. It was submitted by the refractory materials standard team from Wuhan University of Science and Technology.

The project team is composed of experts from China, the United States, Australia, UK, German and other countries, with specific work carried out by the university's standard team. This newly approved international standard not only broke with tradition which China delays the adoption of ISO international standards but also increased China's influence in the global refractory industry.
