Brazil makes final affirmative anti-dumping ruling on Chinese seamless steel gas cylinders

On July 27th, 2021, CAMEX GECEX issued Resolution No.225 (2021), making final affirmative anti-dumping ruling on Chinese seamless steel gas cylinders and determining to impose anti-dumping duties for a period of 5 years. The specific duties are as follows: $0 per piece for Hengyang High Pressure Container Co., Ltd.; $3.51 per piece for Anhui Clean Power Energy Co. Ltd.; $14.32 per piece for Sinoma Science & Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. and Sinoma Science & Technology (Jiujiang) Co., Ltd.; and $64.41 per piece for Zhejiang Tianen Pressure Vessel Co., Ltd. and other Chinese producers or exporters. The MERCOSUR tax code of the products involved is 73110.00.00. This resolution takes effect on the date of its promulgation.
 
On January 31, 2020, SECEX of Brazil published Notice No.8 (2020) on the Federal Government Gazette, announcing the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation against seamless steel gas cylinders from China on the basis of an application submitted by a Brazilian company on October 31, 2019. On September 8, 2020, the SECEX issued Notice No.60 (2020) in the Federal Government Gazette, announcing the preliminary anti-dumping ruling on seamless steel gas cylinders from China. The preliminary ruling confirmed dumping and injury of involved products to Brazilian industry, but it didn't recommend imposing provisional anti-dumping duties.
