Anyang Jinfang resumes HC ferromanganese production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 19 Apr 21 - Anyang Jinfang Metallurgy Co., one of major HC ferromanganese producer in China, resumed production of HC ferromanganese on April 1st and expects to produce about 6,000t in April, a source from the company revealed to Asian Metal.

The source said, "We resumed production of HC ferromanganese Mn 65%min, C 7%max on April 1st and expect to produce about 6,000t in April." According to the source, they suspended production of HC ferromanganese on September 2rd, 2020 for equipment maintenance. They quote RMB5,800/t (USD892/t) EXW D/P for HC ferromanganese Mn 65%min, C 7%max at present and could not consider any concession and sold about 100t at RMB5,800/t (USD892/t) this week. In view of the weak downstream demand and firm raw material prices, they predict that the prices of HC ferromanganese would stay stable in the coming week.

With an annual production capacity of 72,000t of HC ferromanganese Mn 65%min, C 7%max and an output of around 9,100t in 2020, the company have only one submerged arc furnace of 16,500kVA for HC ferromanganese production. The company expects to produce about 6,000t in April, compared to no output last month. They are holding no stocks at the moment, unchanged MoM. They produced about 3,000t so far in 2021.

Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese HC ferromanganese Mn 65%min, C 7%max stand at RMB5,700-5,900/t (USD877-908/t) EXW D/P, down by RMB100/t (USD15/t) from last week.
