Recently, Department of Natural Resources of Hebei Province released the "notice about carrying out national survey on mineral resources in Hebei". Under the guidance of the "solid mineral resources reserve classification" and in accordance with the "mineral resource national survey technical requirements", Hebei will carry out proven mineral resources national survey on 72 listed minerals in Hebei, including iron, chrome, copper, aluminum, gold, nickel, cobalt, coal, molybdenum, limestone, dolomite and others, to learn mineral resources reserve current basic data, such as mines in production, mines out of production, closed mines and undeveloped mines of abovementioned minerals.

In 2021, Hebei will carry out proven mineral resources survey on the first batch of 11 key minerals, including coal, iron, chrome, copper, aluminum, gold, nickel, cobalt, molybdenum, limestone and dolomite, in 870 listed mines, database construction, single mineral achievements collection, 11 minerals achievements collection and related special studies. In 2022, the province will carry out proven mineral resources survey on the rest 61 minerals, such as oil shale, graphite, fluorite and sandstone, in 292 listed mines, database construction, single mineral achievements collection and related special studies. In 2023, the province will carry out key mineral resources applicability assessment and guarantee research, mineral resources value evaluation research and survey achievements collection of 72 minerals in 1,162 mines located in Hebei.
